Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana (PPAM) is a statewide political not-for-profit organization. PPAM is the nonpartisan advocacy and political branch of Planned Parenthood of Montana, and works through electoral, legislative, and regulatory channels to advocate for the Planned Parenthood of Montana mission. PPAM’s activity includes candidate endorsements, voter education, and community organizing across the state of Montana.
Planned Parenthood of Montana (PPMT) empowers all people to make private reproductive health care decisions by providing quality health care, medically accurate education and advocacy for individual rights. PPMT believes every individual deserves honesty, understanding and respect, and advocates for every individual’s right to privacy and straightforward information.
Planned Parenthood of Montana is a community health provider and serves as a critical entry point into the health care system for women across Montana. For many Montanans, the only doctor or nurse they see is one they visit at a health center like Planned Parenthood. Today, one in four women who receives contraceptive care does so at a women’s health center. One in six women who obtains a Pap test or a pelvic exam does so at a women’s health center, as do one-third of women who receive counseling, testing, or treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. More than 6 in 10 patients who receive care at a women’s health center like Planned Parenthood consider it their primary source of health care.
PPMT is committed to providing education, resources and affordable, quality healthcare to patients. The vast majority of PPMT’s services are preventative, and this basic health care is essential to give women the tools they need to protect and support their families.
